mousesports have secured a place at the G3 LAN in London after winning the first online qualifier against HSBG. More than 70 teams from all over Europe took part in this two-day online qualifier, hoping to get their hands on the highly-coveted place at the G3 LAN in London, where $30,000 will be up for grabs. The biggest talking point about the tournament came in the quarter-final stage as Planetkey Dynamics were disqualified due to failing to use EAC against HEADSHOTBG, with the Bulgarians accusing Anil "cLy" Gülec of cheating in that match, an allegation that is rejected by the German player.
After beating inetonly 2-0 in the semi-finals, HEADSHOTBG went on to face mousesports, who had defeated London Conspiracy, in the tournament decider. With Aleksi "allu" Jalli as a stand-in, mouz got off to a good start and eased past HSBG 16-5 on de_dust2. The Bulgarians then levelled the series on one map by winning de_inferno with a 16-9 scoreline, but on the third and last map mouz proved to be the better side as they ran out 16-5 victors. G3 Qualifier #1Best of 3 Stay tuned to HLTV.org for coverage of the other European qualifier, which will kick off on Wednesday, and of the UK-only qualifier, scheduled to start on July 5th. |
